The Guardians: Reshaping History
The Guardians exhibition, presented by the Peale, was be hosted at Carroll Mansion, from November 6, 2021 to January 30, 2022. This beautiful 19th-century museum, located at 800 E. Lombard Street, is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4 and during special Peale programs.
The portraits are lovely, rich in color and texture, and monumental in ways, meant to pay respect to the chronically under-acknowledged work that Black women do to care for their communities.
